Down the Rabbit Hole ~ Comments ~ req.co.uk http://blogs.req.co.uk/downtherabbithole Having left the-library (and run away screaming from the job at Head Office) Bunnery is now incarcerated at Her Majesty's Pleasure. That's only during working hours though. She 's not on day-release or anything...honest. She works in Prison Libraries where she feels right at home :-) [Comments feed] 1 year on (Bunnery on "Another Day - Another Job ") Nah - I haven't forgotten the students - even though it is exactly ONE YEAR since I left the college!

Oh yeah - I know what you mean about the reviews. Like Amazon do - I could put "Customers who borrowed this also borrowed these..." It might help :-)

They say you should never judge a book by its cover - but you can't go wrong with arty covers! Or ones with cats on the front - am just re-reading Kafka on the Shore.

Forgetting? (bin1 on "Another Day - Another Job ") "Young Offenders"... have you forgot the students already?

Good luck, I like the idea of the little cards.  It helps when the review compares the book to other authors.  I tend to only read those that I know already, which means I have had to wait months for a book to published!

But then I've never found a dud just by picking random arty covers at the airport.

? (bin1 on "Sound the alarm!! ") Sorry for being out of touch.  Whats Rap Magazine? Is it "yo, yo, yo" or more.... Risqué?

Radio usage (Breadmower on "Almost there... ") Now, the important thing to remember about using a radio is that you're not just talking to the one person - other people can hear you. When we first got our radios, we used the callsigns "Mother Duck" and "Rubber Chicken" (among others), not realising that the people on reception could hear us.

It's not really a problem anymore - our radios are rubbish, and the batteries only last about half an hour, so the novelty wore off very quickly!

Congratulations! (Breadmower on "Prison Bunny ") Hey, well done Cap'n B! That's great news. I'm sure that you'll manage to recruit all manner of scurvy dogs for your next seafaring adventure!

Self defence, eh? Hmmm... I'd better watch myself in case I say something that you don't like, and you decide to test out these new skills!

PxC for all occasions (Breadmower on "On yer bike ") You know, I think that there's a PxC card for every occasion - sometimes when people ask me a question/puzzle, I go "Oh yeah, I did a PxC card on that a while ago". Maybe I should get a t-shirt made up: "Everything I need to know about life I learnt from Perplex City"...
